  • A special issue on Plant Proteomics - "Plant-based Foods: Seed, Nutrition and Human Health" - in the PROTEOMICS journal (May 2015, Volume 15, Issue 10, Pages 1631-1770; edited by Sabine Luthje, Renu Deswal, Ganesh Kumar Agrawal) is available: http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ pmic.v15.10/issuetoc
  • Proteomics 13'12-13: Special issue on Plant Proteomics is now available at - http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com /doi/10.1002/pmic.v13.12-13/issuetoc . "Plant proteomics has been the poor cousin of biomedical proteomics for some time. Besides the perception of being less 'glamorous' than cancer or clinical proteomics it also faces the intrinsic challenge of being more complex and less amenable to data analysis due to the plant kingdom's greater genomic diversity and its lower coverage of deciphered genomic sequences" ...read more at http://onlinelibrary .wiley.com/doi/10.1002/pmic.201370104/full
  • Fascination of Plants Day
    On 18 May 2013,
EPSO launches the second international "Fascination of Plants Day"! The goal is to get worldwide as many people as possible enthused about the importance of plant science for agriculture, sustainable food production, environmental conservation, as well as for horticulture, forestry, and non-food products. To get involved, please contact coordinator Trine Hvoslef-Eide.
  • A NEW AND COMPREHENSIVE BOOK ON SEED DEVELOPMENT
A new book on Seed Development: OMICS Technologies toward Improvement of Seed Quality and Crop Yield / OMICS in Seed Biology by Ganesh K. Agrawal and Randeep Rakwal (Editors) has been published by SPRINGER at http://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-94-007-4749-4/page/1 (The only book on plant seed development with application of the 21st century technologies - Provides a rich source of information including all references compiled in one place - Excellent reference and textbook for students, new researchers, and established scientists;http://www.springer.com/life+sciences/plant+sciences/book/978-94-007-4748-7 )
  • Professor Jill Farrant
An early Member of INPPO, won the prestigious L'Oreal-UNESCO Life Science Award (2012).
    CONGRATULATIONS JILL
  • Polish Proteomics Society
It is our pleasure to inform, that on 13th April 2012, the founding meeting of the first Polish Proteomics Society (PPS) was held in Poznan, Poland. We are also pleased to announce that both Polish country representatives of INPPO found their place in the society board. Dr. Robert Nawrot (Adam Mickiewicz University) was elected Secretary and Dr. Agnieszka Szuba (Institute of Dendrology, PAS) was chosen for a member of the Audit Committee. Further information will soon be available on the Society's website (ptp.ibch.poznan.pl).
  • INPPO reviewed in a recent publication
Weckwerth W (2011) Green systems biology - From single genomes, proteomes and metabolomes to ecosystems research and biotechnology. J Proteomics 75: 284-305. (open access - http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1874391911003290).This article explains the foundations of Green Systems Biology and presents an iterative workflow to investigate the genotype-phenotype-map in plant ecology, evolution and biotechnology. International research networks, especially INPPO, are introduced and their importance is discussed. The socio-economic relevance of these research fields is further discussed.
  • We would appreciate any suggestions/ comments from the scientific community on any aspect of the INPPO website designing to further improve its visibility and/or contents. Thank you for your cooperation and support. Contact Abhijit Sarkar at contactinppo@gmail.com or Raj Agrawal at rajaanova@gmail.com.
  • A Special Issue on Plant Proteomics in the JOURNAL OF PROTEOMICS (JOP) [Volume 74, Issue 8, Pages 1161-1482 (12 August 2011) Plant Proteomics in Europe, Edited by Jenny Renaut, Birte Svensson, Jesus Jorrin-Novo, and Bart Panis] is now available at http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/journal/ 18743919/74/8. In October 2007, the COST action FA0603 "Plant Proteomics in Europe or EUPP" was launched and held in Munich. This special issue reports on much of the progress and reflects the current situation of plant proteomics at least in Europe.
  • As one of the INPPO initiatives to network with different scientific and non-scientific organizations, it is hearting to know that we have made a progress with MASCP (http://www.masc-proteomics.org/mascp/ index.php/Main_Page) as quoted "Represent Arabidopsis proteomics interests as representatives of the International Plant Proteomics Organization (INPPO) http://www.masc-proteomics.org/mascp/ index.php/Goals". INPPO will continue working in this direction to strengthen bonds with MASCP.
